I'm Tony. I spent years teaching yoga before realising that the most powerful thing happening in my classes wasn't the postures, it was what was happening in people's nervous systems. The moments of settling. The exhale that finally came. The look on someone's face when their body remembered what safety felt like.

That realisation led me deeper, into polyvagal theory, trauma-informed practice, and the neuroscience of how our bodies respond to stress. Not as academic study, but as lived experience. As a parent. As someone who has been in amber more often than I'd like to admit.

I trained with the Devon School of Yoga, and studied Trauma-Sensitive and Trauma-Informed Yoga with Trauma Therapy Manchester. This course is where all of that comes together: the science, the practice, and the honest, human experience of trying to stay regulated in a world that makes it very difficult.

Calm Within Chaos isn't a course about fixing yourself. It's a course about understanding yourself: your nervous system, your survival strategies, your capacity to find your way back. And it starts with one rule: get curious.

The Course

Calm Within Chaos is a practical, trauma-informed course that takes you on a guided journey through your own nervous system. Across 52 parts, you'll move from understanding why your body reacts the way it does, to having real tools to change your relationship with stress, reactivity, and overwhelm.

This is not about positive thinking. It's not about willpower. Your thinking brain goes offline when your nervous system is activated, so the way out isn't through your head. It's through your body. And that changes everything.

What You'll Learn

Understand Your System

Why you can't just decide to calm down. The three states of your nervous system, your body's hidden radar, and the survival strategies that kept you alive, and are now running the show.

Build Your Foundation

Orientation, grounding, and befriending your nervous system. Practical tools that work wherever and whenever; at the school gates, during an argument, after a meltdown. Yours or theirs.

Find Your Way Back

Self-regulation practices, your one-minute toolkit, and how to widen your window of tolerance so that what once overwhelmed you becomes something you can navigate.

The Journey

The course moves through three stages. First, stabilisation, learning to arrive, to ground, to recognise where you are on the map of your own nervous system. Then, processing, carefully stretching your edges, a few drops at a time, building the resilience to feel what you couldn't feel before. Finally, integration, weaving it all into daily life, so that the practices become part of who you are, not something you do.

Each part includes short videos, clear slides, and worksheets you'll actually want to fill in. No jargon. No pressure. Just honest, practical guidance that meets you where you are.

Is This for You?

This course is for you if you've ever wondered why you can't just “calm down” when everyone tells you to. If you've tried deep breathing and felt more anxious. If you lose it over something tiny and then hate yourself for it. If you finally sit down at the end of the day and can't relax.

It's for you if you're a parent running on empty, wondering why bedtime feels like a war zone and transitions feel like pushing a boulder uphill. If you've been told you have an anger problem, an anxiety problem, a motivation problem; and something in you knows that isn't the whole story.
